Position Summary:
This position will fill be responsible for managing project portfolio governance for the North Creek Manufacturing site as well as representing manufacturing and related functions as a point of contact for corporate project governance at the site. The candidate will help to ensure alignment of projects with the organization’s strategic direction, making the best use of limited resources, and building synergies between projects. Key responsibilities include leading assigned project teams of medium sized, moderately complex projects independently by utilizing project management best practices. This role ensures schedules, financials, scope, and performance requirements of the project are met. It includes management and communication of issues, risks, and project change requests to ensure successful and on-time project delivery. The successful candidate will have knowledge of the biotech industry with extensive experience in project management. This position will partner with site departments, e.g., Manufacturing, Facilities, QC and QA, as well as corporate functions, e.g., Real Estate and Facilities, EH&S and Finance to ensure ongoing management of projects and success throughout project lifecycle. This position will also drive development and maintenance site staff resource modeling.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage the project portfolio governance meeting providing project update and tracking and ensuring alignment with site leadership on new projects introduced to site. create and distribute meeting minutes and drive accountability for action items
- Partner with cross-functional teams on input and update of projects in site portfolio dashboard to ensure consistency across all projects during intake process
- Develop project schedules, ensuring commitment to project task and milestone deliverables from team members and functional managers. Engage with project teams to help manage project planning, execution and reporting as well as escalate issues
- Develop and manage Smartsheet project portfolio dashboards
Manage assigned projects within North Creek Manufacturing Facility
- Coordinates project related activities across all applicable departments (minimally Manufacturing, IT, QA, and Facilities)
- Track and monitor project deliverables and timelines to ensure timelines are being met
- Escalate when timelines are not being met and when barriers and roadblocks occur
- Provide metrics and updates on overall project status including budget and schedule adherence, risk assessment and issue escalation as well as status of individual project deliverables
- Support North Creek Leadership Team in prioritization, resource allocation and budgeting for projects
- Partner with corporate project management office (PMO) groups to align North Creek processes with corporate best practices and share lessons learned to improve company project management processes
- This position will also support corporate projects as a general business partner including identifying resource requirements, being a gatekeeper for site SMEs and supporting corporate project governance, e.g., dashboard updates, etc.
- Participate in the Product Supply continuous improvement program. Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to project management, budgeting, and capital projects
- Perform other support activities as needed to support the overall efficiency of the Product Supply organization
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree and 5-10 years of experience in developing expertise in project management in the biopharmaceutical industry
- Demonstrated ability and skillset to successfully manage cross-functional projects
- Ability to communicate professionally and effectively across departments and multiple levels of management and customers
- Be highly organized with high attention to detail
- Ability to keep order of multiple projects/tasks
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, Smartsheet and Microsoft Project or similar project management software
- Design of dashboards and other applicable resources
- Strong presentation skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills and interpersonal skills
- Experience with operations improvement projects in a regulated environment and capital projects preferred
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with operations improvement projects in a regulated environment and capital projects preferred
- Smartsheet certified
- PMP certification
- Experience working with Oracle or SAP ERP

The hiring pay range for this position is $87,000 to $112,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
