Summary:
The Senior Manager, Collaboration Finance position will be responsible for supporting multiple Seagen product collaborations from a financial reporting perspective. The role involves providing data and insight into multiple Joint Finance Committees and other Joint Committees, as well as providing input into program decision making, and communicating the financial impacts of those decisions to internal and partner executive leadership. The position will also be responsible for milestone tracking related to our in-licensed and out-licensed technology, oversight of the collaboration AR process, support of month-end closing activities, quarterly contractual reporting requirements, and budgeting and forecasting of collaboration activities.
This position will partner closely with other internal Finance, Alliance Management, Program Management, and Legal teams.
Principal Responsibilities:
- Manage multiple product collaborations’ financial activities and reporting workstreams
- Support corporate budgeting and long-range plan activities for corporate collaborations
- Prepare and record month end-close activities related to collaboration accruals
- Prepare reporting and analysis supplied to joint collaboration committees
- Produce accurate monthly, quarterly, annual, and ad hoc financial reports with associated variance analysis in collaboration with Accounting and Finance colleagues
- Support the preparation of internal and external financial reports, including supporting updates to financial schedules in SEC filings on Form 10-K and 10-Q
- Provide oversight of milestone tracking for in-licensed and out-licensed technology
- Assist with the maintenance and implementation of new financial systems and processes
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Minimum 8-10 years of finance/accounting experience
- Biotech, pharma, or life sciences experience
- Bachelor’s degree required
Preferred Qualifications:
- MBA and/or CPA
- Experience with partnering arrangements a plus
- Self-starter who deals well and thrives in ambiguity
- Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills to support financial analysis and executive presentations
- The ability to present data and effectively communicate complex information to a non-Finance audience; written and oral
- The ability to be flexible and adaptable to changing business priorities while meeting tight deadlines
- Track record in identifying process improvements and successfully implementing change
- Ability to develop quality relationships
- Attention to detail
- Strong leadership, prioritization, communication and organization skills

The hiring pay range for this position is $133,000 - $172,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
