Position Summary:

Seagen’s new cGMP manufacturing facility “project Launchpad” is being built in Everett, Washington, just North of Seattle. Launchpad will be a greenfield build encompassing end-to-end manufacturing capabilities for biologics and antibody-drug conjugates (ADCs).

Seagen is seeking a highly motivated Business Administrator that desires an opportunity to significantly contribute and participate in the operational startup of Seagen’s new clinical and commercial biologics manufacturing facility. As the Business Administrator, you will work closely with the Everett Manufacturing Site Head and site leadership team providing seamless project management, calendar & administrative support. The position requires excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to work with multiple levels within Seagen, Inc. Working successfully under pressure in a fast-paced team environment, building and maintaining effective working relationships, accommodating diverse work styles, and being fair and unbiased are essential to success in this role, along with attention to detail and the ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

This position is in Everett WA, and reports to the Sr. Executive Assistant in TOPS.

Principal Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Provide administrative support to cross-functional onsite and visiting senior staff, and coordinate support with team admins from other Seagen, Inc office locations. This will include calendar management, meeting facilitation, expense reconciliation, and travel arrangements.
  • Provide logistical and operational support to the Site.
  • Coordinate with Facilities, Security, Human Resources, and IT to ensure site-specific operational needs are met.
  • Track department budgets and expenses in compliance with company policy; review and approve invoices and account reconciliation.
  • Adhere to and execute administrative procedures for the team staying within corporate policy.
  • Develop & maintain strategic working relationships with key business stakeholders/leaders across the organization, acts as a site advocate and ensures site needs are considered within the larger organization.
  • Develop an understanding of what critical business needs are for the site, troubleshoots problems for the site and site personnel.
  • Schedule and manage site-wide cross-functional staff meetings, site-wide training classes, events, and off-sites: including agenda management, meeting logistics, material preparation, and catering.
  • Execute flawless site morale events and/or broader team-wide events in collaboration with the admin community.
  • Coordinate site team space needs as required, work with Facilities to develop space plans.
  • Assist employees with conference registration and help maintain professional memberships, contact databases, and group rosters for subscriptions.
  • Ensure a positive employee experience through the successful onboarding of new hires by making sure all necessary documents and office equipment are in place.
  • Backup support for other admins within team
  • Assist with other projects and work as needed and assigned.
  • Display excellent judgment in dealing with confidential information and ensuring accurate and timely distribution of information.
  • Always maintain professional presence, as a representative of the site team.

Required Qualifications:

  • 2 - 4 years in an administrative or office coordinator role supporting staff in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment.
  • Some college coursework preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting a growing team that is multi-located.
  • Ability to apply knowledge of the business and integrate into daily tasks to achieve successful outcomes in cross-functional projects and activities.
  • Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills are required.
  • Ability to prioritize work and deliver projects completed and on time while facing multiple distractions and interruptions.
  • Demonstrates and role models confidence, emotional intelligence, and professionalism.
  • Ability to pay close attention to detail when working with complex schedules or projects and react with an appropriate sense of urgency to situations or events that require a quick response or turnaround.
  • Ability to independently problem-solve to quickly resolve issues to maintain business continuity.
  • The ability to maintain a positive attitude with the ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities; must work well under pressure.
  • The desire to learn and grow with the business.
  • Able to work successfully in a team environment by building effective working relationships internally and externally with all levels of employees with different working styles and perspectives.

  • Highly proficient in MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).

The hiring pay range for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year based on skills, education and experience relevant to the role. Other components of total compensation include a competitive equity grant at the time of hire (with additional annual grants, and grants upon promotion when applicable), and an annual bonus.
