They will work on chemical development problems of diverse scope to identify innovative and practical processes. They identify and champion new ideas and technologies that enhance business processes within small molecule development. They develop an external presence as a technical leader in the field by authoring journal articles, presenting posters at leading external scientific meetings, or as an invited speaker.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Demonstrate exemplary scientific leadership through the evaluation and design of synthetic routes to complex molecules which would serve as the foundation of efficient processes for the preparation of multi-gram to kilogram scales of small molecule APIs and ADC drug-linkers.
  • Apply the latest technologies in both organic and analytical chemistry to develop and interrogate chemical processes while capturing critical data for the determination of reaction parameters that contribute to process performance and scale up.
  • Use established principles of chemical process development to design efficient processes with facile unit operations.
  • Leverage literature, ICH/Regulatory guidance, and practical experience to perform their work and influence CMC strategies.
  • Recommend and implement new technology that advances knowledge and productivity within department.
  • Author and review technical reports, manufacturing documents, regulatory submissions and publications.
  • Present at department, project team, and sr. management meetings. May present externally at scientific conferences.
