Summary

The commercial operations and technology team is in need of a commercial Operations Manager who will be responsible for driving strategy and supporting the growing business while creating scalable solutions for managing client relationships in sales operations technologies.

The Commercial Operations Manager will work closely with the field, sales leadership and GMI team to set the strategy and objectives of the Commercial Operations and Technology team at SeaGen in support of Business functions across the company. As the Sales Operations Manager, you will lead key business processes, maintain the strategic roadmap for Commercial Operations and Technology focusing in Master Data Management and Affiliation Hierarchy Management and support the scalability of different these solutions with Downstream applications like Veeva CRM, Veeva Event Management, BI Reporting, Speaker Program and other SeaGen solutions/technologies that may be consuming Customer Data.

The Commercial Operations Manager will lead project prioritization, project delivery and execution for these initiatives and will work closely with the stakeholders to meet deadlines and discuss roadblocks. In this role, you will be responsible for driving continuous improvement, championing automation where applicable, drive efficiency and gathering requirements to assess business needs. The commercial Operations Manager will be responsible for MDM, AHM and overall Customer master data Strategy.

Principal Responsibilities:

  • Lead project efforts to identify, develop, and deploy business process to support the Master Data Management (Customer Master) and Affiliation Hierarchy Management
  • Lead and define optimal processes associated to new customer data sources that will be integrated into MDM and corresponding changes in AHM solution
    • Provide sustainable solutions that are scalable and consistent across all SeaGen product teams
    • Own the communication of the analysis to improve business processes, communicate analysis findings, and propose projects or initiatives
  • Being subject matter expert focusing in Improving usability of MDM solution across internal teams and measuring adoption of customer data across brands
  • Owns the MDM & AHM support across all product teams and manages feature intake requests:
    • Review current process, collaborating with the field and commercial ops teams to identify gaps, solutioning and providing improvements and efficiencies.
    • Create a sustainable and scalable support process for the internal teams and establish a SLA for resolution.
    • Lead MDM/AHM coaching/training sessions with the downstream application consumers – CRM, BI Reports, GMI team advisory meetings and scheduled office hours to increase adoption of CRM and related sales technologies.
  • Manage working relationship with Field, IT, GMI, GVA and Internal Commercial teams.
  • Responsible for Managing team (Internal FTE/External Vendor teams working on project).
  • Collaboration with the Commercial Training and Development, Non-Sales partners for Building out the team’s success- coaching and mentoring, aligning the team to their strengths (Strength Finder) understanding other team’s strengths and how to use these differences in building stronger collaboration and communication.
  • Helping define roles, accountability, and opportunity for each team member. Providing paths for development.
  • Managing and leading strategy for key projects and people.

Required Qualifications:

  • Manager would bring strong industry experience as a manager for several years practicing business function and technical capabilities in MDM, Customer Master and Affiliation Hierarchy Management
  • Subject matter expert in the area of MDM and AHM
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and to develop and maintain strong business partner relationships – leads intra and inter departmental collaboration
  • Proven ability to carry out difficult decisions in a logical, rational manner, and demonstrated ability to work as a senior team member and to engage and influence team members in a matrixed environment
  • Drive continuous improvement in system performance and service quality for technologies in commercial business applications
  • Responsible for creating standard SOPs and training documents
  • Lead, Monitor and implement changes or advancements in technology to bring competitive advantage to SeaGen
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to work in partnership with others in a collaborative or advisory role
  • Ability to deal with ambiguity, act without having the total picture, and effectively pose questions to collect information required for decision-making
  • Steep learning agility
  • Focus on sustainability and scalability
  • Understanding the company’s vision, the department’s vision, and the team’s vision to collaborate on a roadmap for success
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or Management and experience working in Life Sciences Industry

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working Knowledge of CRM tools - Veeva, Salesforce
  • 3 Years of experience working in Commercial Operations
  • 2 years of experience working in MDM and AHM space
